New Secondary Curriculum for RE
The new secondary curriculum provides opportunities to engage afresh with the needs and concerns of children and young people today in order to produce compelling learning.
An important feature of the new secondary curriculum is a requirement for most subjects to share ‘developments and common understanding across disciplines and boundaries'. This website contains case studies and videos which demonstrate how this requirement applies to Religious Education.
Dave Francis (National RE Subject Lead) gives an introduction to the new secondary curriculum, and this website, in the following short video clip.
More information can be found in Francis, D., ‘Listening and Leading', REsource 30:3 Summer 2008, NATRE.
