Searching for God

This picture was inspired by the London Underground. The category I put it in was "Searching for God". When you search for God there are lots of different routes you can take such as kindness and honesty. All of these routes can lead you there.

The religion it is based on is Islam. Down the left hand side of the page I have done a pattern similar to the ones you can find in pieces of Islamic Art, using geometric patterns.

All the names of the Underground lines are ways that Muslims use to help them find God. The names of the stations on these different lines are just a few of the different ninety nine names of Islamic God; Allah. However I did not just choose these names at random. I chose them carefully, so they all have a different meaning. As an example I will use the line of Peace. The names I have used here relate to this subject. As-Salum is "The source of Peace" and Al-Bari is "The Maker of Order". Order keeps peace between everything. Some names link to lines together like Al-Wahhab means the "Giver of All", which links charity and generosity together.
