A NATRE project to link creativity with Religious Education for schools
Vision
How does my picture represent spirituality? What is spirituality? I believe it is life; and life is full of roundabouts, spirals and circles. Life should be bright and colourful and full of excitement, spontaneous, unexpected and indecisive. Life is what you make it, fun and complex and not a straightforward plan, full of choices. Mixtures of feelings make up your life; red, angry, blue, sad and yellow is warmth and happiness. The hands represent tranquility and harmony. You should concentrate on the world and the bigger picture, but at the same time you should focus on the tiny details, which make up the full masterpiece, which is yourself. Spirituality is what you believe, and my painting shows exactly what I believe; which is that nothing is linear, everything is intermingled and not straightforward; spirituality is life and life is complicated. |
