Justice for Everyone

Justice in Trade
Year 7 - Collective entry
Perryfields High, Sandwell

Year 7 pupils considered the work of Traidcraft and the Fair trade movement. We read and studied Christian teachings from Matthew, Luke and James in the Bible, and examined how organizations concerned with trade justice might connect to the teaching of the Bible.

We had a joint 'spirited arts' day with the art and RE departments working together. Pupils learned about the artistic style of Keith Haring, and designed tiles in his style to express their ideas about justice. The tiles – about 150 in all - were all displayed in the school foyer.
