The Sikh Gurdwara (place of worship) is a place where all people are equal, rich, poor, male, female, black or white.

The beaming light around the entrance symbolises that everyone is welcome to joining the service. The two swords of the Khanda have sharp edges, which represents God's power on earth and in spirit. The sharp edges soften into welcoming, gentle hands offering care and comfort to all within. The people (all different) are enclosed in the open arms, representing all ages, genders and race. This shows an openness, celebrating their diversity. God welcomes all of his creation and to us: being 'open minded' means that we should do the same.
