Open Minds

Open the Window in Your Mind
Hollie

When I think of the mind, I perceive a room, four walls that close off the unwanted, colours that spark imagination and a window that lets anyone in and out of our lives.

Sometimes our rooms are re-decorated by events that cross our paths. Sometimes our rooms are stripped when we feel free, lifted or even alone. My drawing depicts a dark room, clouded with fear and hate. The colours black, grey, blue and purple reflect the closure and the shadow of a really un-spiritual person. The window lets light into the room, by the beams of sunlight.

In everyday life this can be the warmth love supplies us with. The message behind my art work is that even the darkest of minds lets light in and that we should open the curtains and look at the world open mindedly.
