Open Minds

Love Hate
Katie (14)

I tried to show how bad problems are now ad how they should be. My artwork is about who ever you are in the world, if you're a child or an adult, you should always be open minded and try to see the positive side in all good or bad situations. You should try to over come them and don't just argue to try and get what you want, you also have to think of others and their point of view.

I chose the title 'Love Hate' because there is both love and hate in the world and I believe many people would agree that the amount of love there is to hate is much less and I believe we should all try and change that around. I have shown my thoughts by doing this artwork and trying to get people to understand what it is about and trying to say.

I made this artwork by bringing all my ideas together and using paint, collage, pens etc. I tried to interpret the Love Hate situation that needs to be overcome. I believe the best thing about my work is the face because I tried to show that it doesn't only represent one person, it is meant to represent everyone. That is why I put an old dark skinned woman on the left and a young light skin girl on the right. I believe the deepest thing about my work is the way I'm trying t put over the fact that you might get along with everyone even if you religious or not because of all types of reasons, but you have to just try otherwise you fail because you haven't had a go.

Finally I would just like to say that I know that the artwork was meant to be aimed at religious people and the situation happening today and in the past, but I would like it to be seen as for everyone because I want the message that I tried to make my work tell you, be told to everyone who sees it.
