Haslingden High School

Ben is Head of RE and Subject Leader for Religious Studies at Haslingden High School, a large, proudly comprehensive school in Lancashire. He also leads the Extend Project Qualification at school and co-ordinates Able, Gifted and Talented activity at KS5. As well as this he has a research and development role in school, with his focus being on the 'flipped classroom'- a method of teaching he currently uses for Y12.

Outside of school he is a member of the RE Expert Advisory Group, chairing the Secondary Teachers' Working Party, helping to develop guidance on the 2013 National Curriculum Framework for RE.

He has written for REtoday and Professional REflection formerly known as REsource and contributed exemplar planning materials to the Lancashire Agreed Syllabus.

He has served on the NATRE Exec since 2012.
