Chris has led a highly successful RE Department since 2001, attracting large numbers of students at GCSE and A Level. Chris leads teaching and learning as part of the SLT at South Bromsgrove and is also a professional coach supporting teachers.

Chris is West Midlands RE Hubs leader and has been an active member of Worcestershire SACRE for nearly 30 years. He visits schools and SACREs in the West Midlands area promoting RE and providing support and training; he is passionate about curriculum reform and creative ways of increasing the time given to RE.

What do you love about RE?

RE challenges and changes us as human beings. It provides a unique way of enabling students to think critically about themselves and the world.

What do you love about NATRE?

RE teachers need to know they are not alone and that there are so many networks and avenues of support available.
