Progress Schools in Carlisle

Vicky is Head of Progress Schools in Carlisle which is a Key Stage 3/4 private school for behavioural & emotional difficulties. Previously, she was RE Subject Leader at Bridekirk Dovenby CE School, Cumbria; the school has recently been awarded a ‘Gold’ REQM. She currently teaches RE to Junior pupils and is a member of the Carlisle Diocese Cluster Meeting group. She has also written a number of the enquiry based schemes of work for Carlisle Diocese alongside Penny Hollander, Diocesan Adviser and written for ‘RE Today’. In a previous role she wrote the KS2 schemes of work for Wokingham LEA alongside Jo Fageant and penned articles for the area RE journal. Vicky is also Vice Chair of the Chartered College of Teaching.

‘Having led RE in schools in Northern and Southern England for twenty years, I am keen to ensure parity of opportunity for our pupils in the experiences offered. I advocate sharing resources created by teachers, thus I am an active member of my RE cluster."
