Upon gaining his BA Philosophy Degree in 2012 at the University of Essex, Zameer went on to pursue a career in teaching through completing a PGCE in 2013 at King’s College London in Religious Education. He has since been a full-time secondary school teacher and a Head of Department since 2014. Through Religious Education, Zameer wants to ensure young people gain a foundation of religious knowledge. In 2015, Zameer was voted by the staff and students of his school to win the Jack Petchey Foundation Leaders Award for his teaching. Zameer has a passion for interfaith dialogue and has spoken at various conferences, nationally and internationally, on several subject matters. He specialises in Shi'a Islam and has authored a book on this topic to support teachers in their subject knowledge.
