An Aura of Goodness
In our artwork the blue figure represents the Imam that stopped the Muslims from his mosque attacking the man that drove the van through a crowd of people on June 19th 2017. The light blue symbolises how Imam understood that even though the man hurt some people that doesn’t mean that you can hurt him. The dark blue symbolises the integrity that the Imam had when he stopped the Muslims from his mosque.
We used the colour yellow for the heart of the blue figure in our drawing to represent the intellect of the Imam. We used a heart because it is a shape that is often associated with love and kindness. We also added a brain in the head of our blue figure to symbolise the wisdom that the Imam has. The oranges and reds at the bottom of our artwork to symbolise fire. We used the image of fire to represent temptation and the deep red hands appearing in the fire are there to represent the hands of the devil. The colours red and orange symbolised anger, this is why we chose them for the fire that represents the anger of the Muslims.
We placed the figure in our painting on a rock to show how he was above others because he did not harm the man who harmed them. The grey that we used to colour the rock shows how the Imam was neutral to the situation he was in and how even though he was angry he did not act on his anger. The purple that we used to colour the background of our artwork symbolises how Imam has power over the Muslims that attend his mosque and how he used the power for god.
