No labels, just love
I chose the subject ‘Standing Up For Good’. The reason I chose this was because of the recent tragedy in Manchester and how they made something great out of a horrific situation, this inspired me to create a piece about how we are all unique and how no one can define our personality’s and what we stand for.
Standing up for good, to me, doesn’t just mean saying something isn’t right but inspiring others to do the same peacefully. It means giving hope to those who don’t have it and making a change in the world and not being afraid to do so. For instance, Ariana Grande gave hope to not just Manchester but the world when she stepped back into the spotlight and showed that she was not afraid of the people who tried to break our love and hope.
In my piece. I used many colours which represent all the different people around the world and how they are all unique. Each figure has a quote written by myself or other inspiring people. Every person represents something different whether it is racism, equality, islamophobia, ageism or good things such as standing together, being proud of who you are even how music brings people together. The singer, I have made multi-coloured because it shows how everyone joins together to enjoy the sound of music and hope. Also, how everyone, no matter your age or race you can still come together and enjoy what you love most. The singer is also surrounded by a darkness but colours inside her show how no matter how hard or tough the world is you can still have light within and share with others
