Art in Heaven 2018
Stoborough CE VA Primary School
My Art in Heaven art work is based on raindrops falling down. This is because when it rains I believe it washes your sins away, and when you pray to God sometimes you will ask for your sins to be forgiven, so it is almost like if you are a Christian. God is answering your prayer. Hindus also believe that water cleanses you and they bathe in a special river, called the Ganges once a year.
Inside the raindrops are different pictures each based on prayer, reflection and meditation. In one there are waves and they resemble the sea because when I am near the sea it makes me so calm and I can reflect. It is the same for the river as I love the trickling sound. I also drew a tree which symbolises nature as it helps me stay tranquil and relaxed.
Music is an important factor since it helps me meditate even though that I may be angry or sad. The candle stands for Jesus and can help me reflect on what he did to help others. The scroll is meant to be a prayer for God. Finally, the clouds are a message that when things are looking down – look up and God will guide you. The background is blue because to me that is a colour of reflection.
