What are worldviews? What could this mean in practice? What could a worldviews curriculum look like?

We are excited to inform you about a new opportunity, a chance to explore teaching Islam as a worldview. We are looking for teachers to join two virtual half-day workshops in the Spring term of 2021, dates to be confirmed. We will apply current thinking about worldviews education to the teaching of Islam and what this means in practice. This call is open to Primary and Secondary teachers. Attendance at workshops is FREE. We can pay a fixed amount for your department or towards cover.

We will run two virtual half-day sessions and can offer additional discussion groups if required. We will present current worldviews thinking and explore practical resources arising from these ideas. Our desire is to work collaboratively with teachers. We hope to actively explore and evaluate the potential of both current thinking and materials for teaching. The resulting CPD pack and resources will be freely available. As well as enlarging your own practice, you will work as part of a professional community to support teachers more widely.
