South East Regional Ambassador
Justine Ball works for Hampshire County Council as a Primary RE Inspector and Advisor. As part of her role, she provides professional support for primary RE across Hampshire, Portsmouth, Southampton and the Isle of Wight. She runs an annual conference for primary RE teachers as well as editing Hampshire’s RE Primary News.
Justine has a degree in Theology and has completed two of the Woolf Institute courses, Bridging the Great Divide and Jews, Christians and Muslims in Europe, both of which have really helped her understanding of the Abrahamic religions.
Prior to joining Hampshire, she worked in a primary school, where she taught across the infant and junior classes and was the RE, History and Worship Co-ordinator for several years. She has also taught for ten years in Adult Further Education.
Justine is one of the joint Vice Chairs of AREIAC and is also a joint Vice Chair of the London and South East branch of AREAIC. She is an REQM assessor too.
“I am passionate about the importance of RE for schools and believe that teachers can make a real difference to children’s understanding. I also believe that teachers have the right to good quality advice and information to help them do this. I look forward to discussing RE with many of you shortly!”
