NEW! The Brain and Learning - Secondary (Online)

Date: Monday 9 March 2020, 4pm–5pm
Location: Online
Trainer: Stephen Pett
Cost: £30 (Discounts available to NATRE members, see below)

In the light of Ofsted’s definition of learning (‘change in long-term memory’), this webinar examines current research into the way the brain works and its implications for teaching and learning in general, with reference to the RE classroom.

The online seminar will explore ideas such as brain plasticity, attention and executive function, as well as some of the ‘myths’ around the brain and learning.

We will look at the implications of these findings for enabling pupils to recall and retrieve their learning, and consider how to incorporate these insights without losing creativity and engagement.
