Making the case for RE

NATRE often receives requests from teachers of RE who have been asked to make presentations or attend meetings to make the case RE in the curriculum. It can be very time consuming to find all the relevant sources of evidence and this presentation is design to save you time and effort.

Ofsted’s renewed emphasis on the curriculum has prompted many schools to conduct reviews and we have therefore included a set of questions alongside the sources of information to help teachers and governors evaluate their provision for RE. The set of questions will help you consider whether or not you are providing a level of provision that not only meets all the relevant requirements but is also appropriate to prepare your children for life in the modern world.
