Raise the profile of the CoRE report!
Many RE teachers have been contacting their MPs in response to the publication of the Commission on RE report, and MPs have been acting on these letters, raising the report with Ministers and asking parliamentary questions of the DfE. Information on how to do this can be found here.
Another way you could raise the issue of the report with MPs is by asking students in your school to write a letter.
An example of such a letter is included here: CoRE school letter template. It was sent by A level students, so you would need to amend it to reflect your own school and its students. MPs are often very interested to hear from young people in their constituency and so it is very likely that they will take notice of the letter.
We would be really grateful if you could drop me a line to let us know if you have sent a letter or met with your MP by firstname.lastname@example.org as this allows us to track who has been contacted and what they have done in response.
