Beliefs - and why they change
A collection of more than 71,000 ideas that adults thought were true when they were children. It can provide a good spring board to thinking about beliefs in RE.
Classroom suggestions:
a) Ask pupils to read and select three or four of their favourite beliefs from the website, and comment on the reasons for their choice.
b) Ask pupils what they used to believe about God, angels and heaven (but no longer believe). What was it that changed their beliefs? Experiences, arguments, or their own thinking?
