Classical Arguments for the Existence of God (Christianity)

BBC Bitesize Religious Studies provides a very brief overview of the classical arguments for God’s existence, and some modern arguments, e.g. religious experience. There is a short test activity to consolidate learning. The focus is Christianity.

Classroom suggestions:

a) Students could copy/paste the online text about one argument into the centre of another document to provide the centre of a spray diagram or mind map. Then add i) challenges to the argument ii) key quotes relevant to the argument iii) examples to illustrate iv) people associated with the argument.

b) Devise a multiple choice test of their own to share with other students as a revision aid (software such as Hot Potato makes this quick and easy to do).
